HYPNOTHERAPY AND GESTALT THERAPY

Gestalt therapy considers the person as an integrated whole where the emotional, physical, mental and spiritual aspects are interconnected . It is characterized by helping people become aware of what they are feeling and experiencing in the present moment (the 'awareness') . Hypnotherapy can reinforce Gestalt therapy in several ways:

  • Realize it in the Hypnotic State : Facilitates a deeper connection with emotions and experiences, allowing access to levels of consciousness that are often blocked.

  • Polarity Exploration : Helps visualize and work with internal polarities immediately, allowing patients to interact with different facets of their self and integrate them.

  • Access to Emotional Memories : Allows you to recover memories and emotional experiences that are difficult to access in the waking state

HYPNOTHERAPY AND SOMATIC THERAPY

Somatic therapy (the word 'somatic' comes from the Greek 'soma', meaning ' living body ') is a holistic practice that explores the relationship between mind and body, bringing a new approach to verbal psychotherapy by integrating the bodily experience as an essential part of our psychological experience . The combination of hypnotherapy and somatic therapy can help the patient develop deeper self-awareness:

  • Deep Connection with the Body : Hypnotherapy can facilitate a deeper connection with bodily sensations. In a hypnotic state , the client can access repressed or ignored body experiences and work on them directly, identifying tensions, blockages or emotions that have been trapped in the body .

  • Body Trauma Release : Somatic therapy often focuses on the relationship between trauma and physical responses. Using hypnotherapy to access unconscious memories and combining this with somatic techniques can help release these physical responses and repressed emotions , facilitating more complete healing.
